In a moving letter to fans titled “Love in Every Stitch” Andrew Christian shared his decision to step away from the industry after more than 25 years. His final collection, fittingly named Bespoke, will be released for Autumn 2025, after which the company will officially close.

“My final words as a designer won’t be spoken aloud, but sewn into Bespoke… Soon after, the company will close,” he said.

This isn’t just the end of a business, it’s the conclusion of a story that began in a garage in LA, driven by a young gay man with talent, trauma and a dream.

Raised in Fresno’s Section 8 housing, Andrew Christian grew up facing racism and homophobia head-on. Fashion became his armour and his escape.

“Fashion wasn’t just an aspiration—it was survival,” he wrote. “Each stitch a heartbeat. Each garment, my coming out.”
